Battery Or Charger Problems

12/11/2011 11:15 AM

Dear all-My X wife complains that her electric car's [2 seats,3 wheels] lead acid, 1year old battery, is too weak.May be it is a problem of the battery, or of the charger, or any "malcombination" of both?

Thank you in advance

O-kay, it seems that I asked a wrong question, the question should be: If there may be a "weak battery"' or a "weak charger".

Our guy who is maintaining those electric cars, claims that such a device should work, or not work, but not being weak!

Without knowing a LOT more about this there's no help for you.

The vehicle may be equipped with some safety cut-off or control circuit.

No details, no help.

Fully charge the battery, then check the specific gravity..................never mind, see this:

Battery Testing, Maintenance And Myths
Then check the charger output. We'll need specific bat/charger information to do more.

A more permanent solution to this problem would be to move far, far away from your X.
