Short Circuit Current Calculation for Generator

How to calculate the short circuit current &sub transient reactance for diesel generator?
-for example 2250 kva generator give the all step by step calculation?

Well you should be able to get the required generator characteristic information from the generator supplier, the rest is available off the internet or in your course text books.

The sub-transient reactance of the generator should be obtained from the generator manufacturer. Then the maximum short circuit current supplied by that generator would be: the full load rated current of the generator / sub transient reactance in p.u.
