Diesel Engine Servicing

Dear all

I want clarification with yours about my Diesel Engine S12U-PTA .Mitsubishi Make . while we are doing the servicing for out side of the engine area we can use the water ? its any possibility water can go inside the engine ? please advice me .

Be careful not to get water into the air intake. Other than that, water should be okay for external cleaning.

We would take an old air filter clean it up as best as posible and paint the element. The paint would make a water proof seal over the element. Installed would keep most moisture out.
