Fluid Mechanics Help

In laminar flow through a pipe of radius R, the fraction of total fluid flow through a circular cross section of radius R/2 centered at the pipe axis is ???

If u know the answer then u definitely gave, but u dont have the answer thats why u use this "homework" as a shield to save from embarrassment.. if a have dare to prove that u know the answer, then give it now, i willl not ask these type of question again.

I must say that U are better at copying questions directly from the textbook than you are at composing and conveying independent thoughts.

I forget what the shape of the cross-sectional velocity profile is; parabola? Whatever the shape, the full flow is represented by the solid of revolution of the curve. V = ∫0R f(x) dx. The flow within R/2 is ∫0R/2 f(x) dx. [I think, but pretty rusty.]

Hmmmm I have the answer right here straight out of my Fluid Dynamics textbook.

But since you're obviously a student that has not properly studied then I will not provide said answer.

Ever heard of "independent study", or doing a Google Search? Go back to your textbook and re-study this issue, okay?

And yes, determining the answer to your question does indeed involve calculus.
