I figured that would make it obvious to anyone who saw it, there's only one thing to shout after seeing that title, and they'd be right.

Yea this is about how serious I take things too.

It just bewilders me what hysterical nonsense she will follow for a week or two with total conviction but at the same time will totally ignore common and rational sense logic that debunks every bit of what she is following.

I try not to get involved in it to any real extent but some days the stuff just gets to goofy to ignore.

We have rather regular discussions about her overall mental health and none ever seem to come to any level of agreement that what she does is not typical rational or logical (but then what woman is?)

At least this weeks new distraction does have her eating better losing weight and almost sort of trying to get into better shape.

Granted she says I am the one who needs to do all that stuff yet as of yesterdays annual checkup I am in all around very good health and fit. Blood pressure is low, weight is in the same rang it has been for 15 years, blood sugar is normal, all other things are well within the normal ranges for a person my age.

Hers not so much but according to her the doctors are wrong and her numbers have always been high so it's normal for her.

Her blood pressure is high, her thyroid is low, she has gained about 40 pounds in the last three years, she is out of shape, her blood work always comes back with one or two things out of range for her age group and her overall memory of what did or did not happen and when is way off all the time.

She claims she works so much harder than I do, she sits at a desk and does autocad drawing for 4 - 5 hours out of a 8 hour work day 5 days a week, but I have yet to ever work up a sweat putting cloths in the wash or doing the vacuuming plus I have yet to ever find any excuse for not going outside to do stuff including regularly walking the half mile over to my dads or brothers house and back opposed to driving or just not going at all.

Really she is fine and its all me ( and most everyone else) who has the problems.

That's an unenviable position to be in... when the combination of her word and the decreasing number of pills isn't sufficient to know with confidence that she is taking the pills.

In my, not-in-any-way-professional, opinion hopeful delusions would be far more desirable and less potentially dangerous than paranoid delusions. People are probably not as motivated to initiate radically high risk behaviors, if they believe that 'everything will be okay'.

I think a lot of it has to do with being over driven on ideas but lacking in the attention and focus plus willingness it takes to actually learn to do things herself.

It's really hard being a perfectionist when you don't have the drive or will to develop the skills to do things right yourself.

Ideas are easy. Making those ideas into realm of tangible reality takes time effort and skill which are hard won in developing. She is just not willing to put forth the effort and time it takes in most situations which I think is where the odd behavior comes from most of the time.

I find it humorous most of the time being that logically we humans and this planet as whole rationally don't work out to be worth much to any race of beings of such scientific advancement as to be able to travel between star systems like we can drive between towns.

Water wise there is far more easily available in space than what we have here plus for material resources the stoney and metallic asteroids and planetoids have all of our minerals and metals in far purer forms than what is found on or in the earth.

As far as us humans go any advanced civilization that has the tech to travel amongst the stars will know full well any basic robot or android would make a far far better and more reliable servant or slave than any human being.

For the few of you who may be following this I did some more reading and have been paying closer attention to how she acts more so than usual.

Given the online descriptions and tests like the M3 and similar self diagnosis test she scores high red flag level for bipolar disorder.

Right now as I scored her and myself based on our general behavior she is in the 70+ level and I am under 20. 33 and below is healthy/low risk whereas 66+ is very high risk.

This evening was a solid example of her erratic behavior. I was sitting and reading online with a set of headphones plugged into my laptop like I normally do being I tend to like having background music playing or mostly for if I am watching Youtube videos so that she doesn't have to hear my noise. (Plus mostly it just it helps me block out her idiotic talking to the TV or herself.)

Anyway she could not hear any sound coming from my headphones and somehow that became so outrageously funny that, from her perspective, I had my headphones on but was not listening to anything that she reached to point of laughing so hard she was falling out of her chair and then dancing around the kitchen like a idiot laughing hysterically.

Really? Something I have done for who knows how long is now suddenly so outrageously funny she can't stand still and laughs until she can't breath?

Well at least it beats the total emotional shutdowns I get some days when something doesn't happen exactly as she had hoped based on some highly unrealistic ideas or because I did not jump right up and help her do something that very instant that she could easily do herself. (But hey we can always/probably will do that one tomorrow.)

I have had more than enough resistance training as far as I am concerned.

This morning she wanted to cut my hair. Not later but right now. It had to be done right now and there was no other option even though she was busy in the kitchen making a pie or something.

That's what gets to me. Everything that pops into her head lately is a right now priority even if she is already busy with something else that needs her attention far more.

It seems like she can't prioritize what she wants to do or make simple decisions about stuff a normal person would not have to put a seconds worth of thought into.

The other evening we went out to eat at a pizza place that was rather busy. She was ahead of me and went to pick out a place to eat. All of the booths we normally sit at were full. She froze up right there and could not pick out a place for us to sit even though there were at least 5 open tables right beside us.

I finally just picked a table and sat down and then told her that she could either join me or just stand there. I didn't care which.

Now this morning she was sitting in her chair next me talking to herself as two people because as according to her I was not there to talk to. WTF? Really?

I am not the most talkative person to begin with plus I find it very hard to have a conversation that jumps around with continual stops and starts in mid sentence.

She says talking to herself is fair and normal being I tend to laugh to myself when I am on my laptop reading.

Laughing at funny thing s I read or see is normal. HAving a full two person conversation all by yourself because no one else can follow what you are going on about is not.

I follow that but lately the for worse part seems to be gaining ground far faster than the for better part.

I have my own little personality glitches of which I have my own medication (40 mg of Fluoxetine a mild antidepressant) I have to take even though I don't like the idea or the need to take it even though I know it keeps the leash on my demons.

That however does not mean that I can go without it because my symptoms are tolerable and acceptable by my standards. Mostly I take them because if I don't I am aware that my behavior and actions become difficult to tolerate for others which in return affects the quality of my life in return.

In a way I want her to have a better quality of mental health and focus but yes I admit I want her to deal with her problems because they are more often than not more than just a little bit of a pain in my ass to deal with and I am selfish enough to admit it.

I like having a stable normal low stress life without the drama and BS that having an emotionally/mentally unstable/irrational person brings.

I won't get into the stories, but I have a sister in law that seems to have it, and things can get extremely ugly. Wild and nasty mood swings.

Similar feeling here as well. I have met and have known too many people who are over medicated but then I have met enough that probably do need some sort of supplements to balance them out.

To me a mental disorder is not any less different than a physical one. No one I know with diabetes or a heart condition ore even an acute allergy is looked down upon for having it and dealing with the inconveniences to outright complications they have to deal with.

To me having a mental or psychological condition is similar. No one should be ashamed to have to use some sort of medicinal or dietary supplement to keep themselves under rational control but yet from what I see the people with the worst problems are the ones who are also the most convinced they are fine.

You don't know my sister in law. The b*tch is pure evil. We've had zero contact for about 2 years now. These people can cause serious damage on other people's lives too.

I have noticed that a lot of her confrontational attitude tends to be heavily influenced by her sleep patterns or lack there of which I have found to be directly related to her unwillingness/inability to calm down and focus on what's relevant and what is not most of the time.

In a way she is very much like dealing with a small child when she is tired. She won't take a nap and she wants to fight about any and everything that happens and the reasoning for it is usually very irrational.

She says her mind is always like a tornado of ideas of things she wants to do but her actions tend to say otherwise. To me its more like they are just random things that pop into her head that have not been thought out in the least bit that she seems to think should be someone elses job and responsibility to figure out and implement.

For example. She wants to open a restaurant up but she does not want to do any of the financial work, planning, setup or management of it. I am supposed to find the money and get the loans for it plus do all of the work of setting it up and making it work and then run and manage it for her plus the fact I have absolutely zero interest in doing such things is totally irrelevant to to her.

I don't know about the rest of it, but the restaurant thing is fairly common.

People see yummy food and smiling faces, and they think it looks fun.

She should get a job at a busy restaurant...it sucks behind those kitchen doors.

Does she read books? Can she be persuaded to read a book?

It is written by Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, but the content is more practical psychology/philosophy than religion.

She reads all of the time. As to what I don't usually ask being it seems to more often than not have plots that revolve around para science and para normal related things.

I don't mind her being as sci fi and paranormal fiction fan but it seems to bleed over into reality far too often.

Last nights conversation for instance. According to her all physical ailments of our bodies come from our minds and our minds alone to which effect she claims that serious diseases like diabetes, cancer and aging are purely mental states. Same with physical disabilities like having a bad back or weak muscles. Granted when questioned about that belief like such as her having a bad back or acting like she is 73 instead of 37 that's totally different and not to be discussed.

To be honest I usually corner her in her own logic just to see where it leads and tends to lead to places where I think that only the truly naive or mentally impaired reside.

When you get to the places her logic has lead, does she seem uncomfortable with what has been revealed? Even if she is defending her position, do you get the sense she realizes it is not a sound position?

Most of the time but it tends to involve a fair amount of confrontational pouting and fuss before it sinks in.

She has all of these dreams and goals she wants to do in her life but every single one of them is in direct conflict with either her 'I'm too old to do anything' attitude or the fact that I am not rich let alone going to spend a fortune on her dreams I know she would never be able to follow through on.

Basically I keep ending up the bad guy because I can rationalize that since she can barely make it through a 8 hour work day of which most of it is spent sitting at at desk drawing on a computer with an hour or two of errand running after work once or twice a week there is no way she would ever make it through 12 - 14 hour days 6 days a week working in her own restaurant.

That she eventually can see reality, even if it takes a huge amount of prodding and prompting, is a good sign.

From a purely analytical view, is this problem (her irrationality and dissatisfaction) as something that can be fixed/solved/mitigated? If that is feasible, do you believe that it is something you have enough influence upon to initiate what is necessary for the fix?

I know I am not revealing anything earth shattering by stating that when there is a problem, not only is it important to determine what the problem is, it is also necessary to determine what things we can affect/control in order to know what option we have to deal with the problem.

If this ultimately is a problem that you don't have much influence upon (and it sounds as it that is the case), the options come back to limiting the extent to which the problem influences you. In general, to lessen your own distress, this could mean learning to accept/ignore the problem, or removing yourself completely, or limiting your exposure.

And (believe me, I'm extremely resistant to ask for outside help, but there comes a time), you might consider professional help to enable her and/or you to understand and learn to cope with the problem.

This week she has been good. I helped her pound in some finishing nails to put new trim around one window in a bedroom she wanted to fix up and hang new curtains there as well on Sunday.

That was all it took this week for her to have a good week which just bewilders me to no end being I have no clue as to how such small things can be such over the top emotional and rationality tipping points.

In a way some of it comes down to her wanting to be the boss around here. Not the boss of herself of course but the boss of me since I get some much more done in any given time compared to her. I hate it.

Now that we did the window trim she thinks she wants to have a fully equipped woodworking shop for herself and to be honest I would love having one as well but we really don't have the justification for one being my brother lives about half a mile away and has his garage nicely equipped for woodworking (Including a 3 axis CNC router table) and we can use it any time we want for free. The problem is she supposedly finds the having to drive for 2 minutes each way to get there too big of inconvenience.

To me the wanting to learn woodworking and the like seems totally unrealistic being she won't bother herself to learn how to do basic trim board cutting or how to pound in little bitty nails either nor take the initiative to go and learn over at my brothers place with is equipment even though he has said he would be happy to teach her. Especially being she knows how to do 3D CAD design way better than him which would make doing so much more of the work on his CNC router super easy.

Now relating to just ignoring things that does not fly at all. If she isn't happy she makes damn sure I am not happy either until I do her crap for her even when she knows full well I have far more important priorities to deal with at the time.

I just don't get it.

New revelation last night.

Apparently I am one of the space aliens. The good ones of course. Those who try and guide humankind to be better or something like that.

As I understood it from her humans are not as rational and objectively minded as me nor are they as impartial to things that happen that are either negative or advantageous to their lives as I tend to be.

Her main reasoning is that in her opinion she is smarter than most other people and that I am considerably above her but don't flaunt it or use it to my advantage which seems odd. Almost alien like odd.

On top of everything being that she con't accept that despite her having a good paying job she never has any money it's because she has poor financial management and control skills.

Whereas even though I make half or less of what she makes I can come up with what ever amount is needed at what ever time is convenient through proper forward planning and a bit of self discipline which looks as if I have some sort of alien bank I can tap into when necessary.

That and and to her its very suspicious that some how I seem to always know how to do anything without ever showing that I have spent any time learning first nor do I ever have the tantrums or hissy fits about learning or doing something new (like she does) so clearly I have advanced alien adaptation skills and training.

For what ever reason for her this is a more rational explanation for everything rather than that she might not as smart as she thinks she is or that she has terrible financial management abilities or that as far as my skill sets and financial resourcefulness goes I simply learned about personal and financial responsibility and how to keep backup resources in play the hard way in my life long ago.

Or that regarding my knowledge base perhaps unlike her it's simply that I have always liked to learn to do new things which allowed me to develop a large and diversified enough level of basic skill sets to be able to adapt to new challenges and experiences without all the fuss and drama.

I hate date night conversations. In fact I hate date nights all together and seriously is this how all people with ~90ish IQ's perceive everyone who has intelligence 35 - 40 or more points higher than themselves?

Sex life is okay although to be honest between the weight gain and odd behavior I don't initiate things nearly as much as I used to and when I do I tend to get shot down most of the time because I didn't follow the latest 200 step procedure to do whatever it was she just made up that day.

We are working on getting her daughter and her father over here from Turkey.
