Driver is Ticketed for Wearing Google Glass

Though Mercedes is working on an interface between Google Glass and their vehicles - increasingly Google Glass is going to be banned in the vehicle - till there is software that ensures the driver isn't going to be distracted by the apps available to the user.

"till there is software that ensures the driver isn't going to be distracted by the apps available to the user"

Not all of us are equal. What may not be a distraction for some. May be a big distraction for others.

If the device in the use. It causes you to change you focal point to view the information clearly. Then even though you can see through the image. You loose perception of distance of the events going on while driving. Both eyes are need for depth perception.

Maybe okay if the app only plays bloody car crashes.

Ha Ha!

Yuppie/Techies upset because common sense is overriding their fun-factor!

Whaddya mean I can't have a TV in front of my face while driving? It's not like I need to actually see to be a hazard!

The driver should have been cited. This is an example of the rich disregarding the laws, and common sense. Sure, "I wasn't using it" is a fine, lame excuse.

Cell phones should be disabled when moving, too, to prevent texting while driving.

Guess what. Big business purchases however many Legislators it takes to keep the phones lethal, and sooner or later they will do the same for the new toys, too.

You make your living selling tech toys, so I understand your motives.

No. They would no longer be LETHAL if one could not abuse them, by texting while driving.

In most states it is already ILLEGAL to drive while distracted.
