It depends on what you do and what tubes there is!

More information is required.

Don't know what sort of tube or size you are using but saw a video the other day & in the background a worker was feeding out tube whilst someone pulled it through ducting. What caught my eye was that this guy had the tube in a holder that was like a channel section formed into a circle with one side open so that you could drop a coil into it. It was not a full circle but maybe 240°, he had this over his shoulder & the tube, perhaps 15mm plastic, fed out with no kinks or snags.

The procedure depends on the specific construction of the tube bundle and any of its attachments. No generic answer will serve. For instance, "hook up a tow truck and pull really hard" will not fit all situations.

Without a mechanical assembly drawing it would be anyone's guess. You don't even say how large this thing is or how much it weighs!

Have you spoken to the manufacturer at all? What about their operation and maintenance manual - is there anything in there?

1. Before you start pulling, make sure you have removed the floating head cover, if required.

2. Make sure you have crane(s) and straps with sufficient capacity before you begin. The bundle must be supported evenly without bending tubes, baffles and tie-rods.

3. There should be eye-bolt holes in the fixed tubesheet for pulling.

There are hydraulic bundle extractors available. My company 40 years ago had one, but the maintenance department didn't like it and abandoned it quickly. Other companies still used them, I think.

A politician once said "the internet is made up of a bunch of tubes". Your not pulling the internet are you?

You need to provide much more information as we can only guess what you are trying to do (pulling 2km of multimode fibre through underground PVC pipes perhaps).

Why didn't you hire a professional company to do this by the way?
