Posted November 23, 2009 8:15 AM

In our careers as engineers, there are many factors that can contribute to job satisfaction — and to job dissatisfaction. What's important to you in your job as a valve specialist? Recognition? Money? Job security? The challenge? One survey says money is only number five. Challenging work, employer/peer recognition, and job security are rated as more important than cash alone. What's most important to you?

Strange, that such a common question is directed towards valve specialists.

*Recognition can not be granted without contribution.

*Job security is not assured even for the owner, if business is lost everyone got to look for alternates.

*Money can not be earned without worth inputs and efforts.

*Job satisfaction can not be obtained without ethics and contribution

*Challenges can not be tackled without genuine technical stuff.

Depending on one's realistic scaling, priority choice for one can be taken up.

One fact is certain -NO GAIN WITHOUT PAIN

for me one important aspect is that my Bull$**t meter can't be pegged all the time. I left intel because if this and now make 1/3 of what I did there. I am much happier now.
