Butterfly Valve for HVAC Applications

Belimo Americas says their butterfly valve saves energy with up to 80% less power consumption than currently available products. The valve and actuator assembly focuses on easy installation, application flexibility, and longevity, the company says.

As a valve doing throttling is inherently an energy-wasting device the need for energy savings inside the actuator, and its use as a sales feature, is abstruse.
