Danger, Danger Will Robinson!

Posted August 17, 2011 8:35 AM

Like the increasing resistance of some bacteria strains to even the strongest antibiotics, a type of botnet has emerged in computers around the world that is exceedingly difficult to eliminate. So far, the pernicious malware has infected relatively few computers, but most experts predict that the malady will spread. Have you followed news reports on the subject? How have you been protecting yourself against such an invasion? Has a stubborn Trojan or virus already infected your systems? How did you respond? What more can antivirus software companies do to combat this threat? Should governments step in? What can they do?

I don't use anti virus. I use Zone Alarm, pest patrol, and spy protector/security Task Manager. If I don't know the sender of an email I use mailwasher to look at it on the server. Educate your self! There is no protection from ignorance. Don't click with out thought, it could cost a lot!

"Don't click with out thought, it could cost a lot!" Get a trademark on that sentence & sell the rights to a Madison Ave. PR mill.

I simply no longer take any of my Windows based machines online. Sure some day Apple may become a "worthy" target but being based on one of the oldest and most secure operating systems will still be worth something.
