What Is It? Blog

What Is It?

What Is It? is a place for engineers to test their knowledge (and sense of humor). Each week (or month, or...) the CR4 team will post an unidentified picture of an object, tool, animal, something. We're looking for your best (or funniest) guesses at what it might be in the comments.

Yes, we take [appropriate] submissions. Send them to cr4admin@ieeeglobalspec.com.

Actually it was TCM who, having had an intimate relationship with railcars, identified it as such.....

That's okay. It's quite clear in many of your responses that you don't read much of anything anyone posts.

Ohhh! It appears, in response for Lyn's faux pas (of incorrectly attributing SE with TCMTech's response) TCMTech has retaliated by intentionally incorrectly attributing Lyn's responses with qualities that are clearly characteristic of Kramarat!

.

Ouch! Are you just going to stand there and allow him to slander you that way?

.

.

As for the second part of the question..... the bogies are located in a city park, a city park that likes boxwood hedges.

They look like what's left of the primary casting for the suspension system of a rail car.
