Bills plumbing needed extra help and hired a unemployed electrician. The first job was a customer complaining he had no hot water, so bill sent out the new guy. And now the customers water is hot. Another success story.

I used one this summer in Kenya: the wiring looked almost exactly like the one in the picture. I was a bit apprehensive, but, clearly other people were using them all over the country so I wasn't going to forgo a shower.

For such a small unit, I was amazed at how much power it had, you had to turn the water up to a very high flow to get the temperature down to an acceptable level.

These are very common/the standard in Brazil homes and, from what I have seen, in industrial buildings. It eliminates the need to have a hot water heater with tank that uses (very expensive) propane or electricity to maintain temperature. I was amazed the first time I saw this but I have never heard of any accidents related to the wiring (motorcycles on the other hand are a different story).

So to get the water cooler than 'boil the showerer,' you had to turn the water up to a wasteful flow rate? I'd understand that in America, where most people thing water is free and in limitless supply (having 50% of the world's fresh water sitting in the Great Lakes might be a factor in that opinion), but in places where clean water is scarce, using more than you need just seems, stupid.

Okay, even when you've got a huge supply, wasting clean water is still stupid, but it feels like insanity when water is scarce, like throwing away good food during a famine.

I'd have used a white terminal block myself

...perhaps preferably with one made by 'phoenix911 contact'®™ of course!
