As a kid, we all put playing cards held by clothespins on our bike wheels spokes to simulate a motorcycle sound as we rode. I guess the times have changed.

edit: (they were the 'Bicycle' brand playing cards.) ;-)

Now superseded by cable ties round the frame tube with the tang hitting the spokes.

Easy to get that multi cylinder effect, can also experiment with different grades.

Bit sad now that the kids have graduated to bikes with real engines.
