An engineer's version of the chicken and the egg conundrum, what came first, the light standard or the building?

Light pole saplings are able to bore right through the toughest materials, but as the light poles mature they tend to divert away from objects, rather than bore through them.

We don't solve problems, we just follow orders....If the man says put it there, we put it there....solving problems is somebody else's job....(overheard during installation of lightpole)

This innovative street lighting system doubles as a "Batpole" style fire escape!

(I'm surprised Lyndor hasn't claimed it).

They don't make that light pole anymore, and The governments great wisdom declared that light pole an endangered species.

Hi, we've come to move that lighting pole. Sorry it took so long, the work order got snagged up in the Planning Department. You're gonna have to take down those balconies while we get it out.

I have had a real one of these. We asked the architects to leave an access in the plant room wall big enough for us to drive the plant in on a 4 tonne fork truck. We got a personnel door.

Do you really have to specify the 'live' part? I didn't question whether the girls on stage would be dead or alive, but now I have questions. I must check this out......
