Well then, specifically, which building did you climb?...

(Even the most minor climbs have names. I once climbed one named ''ocean overhang'' which was about 82' feet above the Pacific Ocean...)

To get to the top you have to step on some toes, screw others, or cut corners.

This is an Engineer's interpretation of the corporate ladder. Lots of hard work will eventually get you to the top.

Unfortunately, non-Engineers do not follow our moral values means and use helicopter, elevator, or just drive around the other side.

End result:- We Engineers are screwed!

If this is in China, I would worry if any little kids are above me. There are a lot of problems in that their (more rural) parents just let them relieve themselves anywhere. On the sidewalk, city bus (in the aisle), trains, staircases...

Of course it might be good karma for the creeps trying to look up dresses!

When I was a sailor..........back in the early 60s...........I went up the Statue of Liberty's Arm (spiral staircase)--and, exactly, women up above..we were shocked , and embarrassed (as, literally, they were too!!), but, that didn't stop us from catching a date with both of the gals following-----after-all we were young sailors!!

ArizonaJim,

I hate to break this to you, but there is not a spiral staircase up the Statue of Liberty's arm. It is a 40 foot straight metal ladder. And the statue's arm has been closed to the public since 1916.

The 350(+) step flight of stairs up to the statue's crown are spiral. But the risers between the treads are solid metal, so unless you had your x-ray goggles on, anything you saw was a byproduct of liquid refreshments while on "liberty call"

They've had to change the septic tank under the spiral three times already. Some are speculating the terminal velocity of #2 exceeds the terminal velocity of #1 just enough for separation.
