That's the first thing I thought, but the fences aren't right and there are no windows on the houses at Plimoth.

I was looking at the twin beam ends near the roof peak. Dead giveaway for one of the early English colonies. I suspect that if you search enough photos you can find the two windows and the garden inside the fence.

It looks a reasonable match for this if viwed from down the slope;

Are the mentions of "Plimoth" and "Plymoth" in some of the above replies referring to Plymouth?

Plymouth MA as opposed to Plymouth in the Old Country. I guess letters were as scarce as everything else back in the early 17th century.

Plimoth Plantation

I never understood why they called it Plimoth and I grew up 30 miles away in Hingham. Been there on several grade school field trips.

..."Plimoth Plantation is a living history museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts founded in 1947. It attempts to replicate the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by the English colonists who became known as the Pilgrims."..

So it's not the actual Plymouth colony formed by the Pilgrims...It's a historically accurate replication...

I'm guessing that BSR took the photo which Maggie copied himself, as there don't seem to be any close matches on the net.
