True story..

My old bathroom had sprouted mushrooms.. with caps.

After I ripped out and re-did the 100yo supply pipes (on my time) I told him the tub drain had a 10" slot in the bottom from years of water rusting through..

Considering the route and the concrete tile floor it was not going to be a quick fix.

Was I ever wrong. A plastic paint tray with a few towels shoved into the right place before drywall would slow things down enough to keep the fungi inside the walls.

Problem solved

He was shocked when I moved out a few months later.

Looks to me like the half-pipe is only for the leaking left faucet. The yellow tub under the sink is for catching everything else. They just need to connect the sink drain to the half pipe to fully utilize the work they've done and get rid of that ugly yellow tub!

Agreed! It's the yellow tub that makes this look unprofessional! Ditching that tacky yellow tub will really "class up" the joint! Never know when Better Homes and Gardens will arrive unannounced!
