Trying to improve your performance at work or write that novel? Maybe it's time to consider the color of your walls or your computer screen. If a new study is any guide, the color red can make people's work more accurate, and blue can make people more creative. In the study, published Thursday on the Web site of the journal Science, researchers at the University of British Columbia conducted tests with 600 people to determine whether cognitive performance varied when people saw red or blue.

	So then this explains why red pencil was used by my teachers to make me pay attention to teacher notations on my essays. Car color studies have corollary. Red cars are often known to be driven in a more aggressive manner. From my experience I tend towards green cars to stay out of trouble. Cops will see a red car as aggressive whether it is being driven aggressively or not, from my experience. The shade of blue as an influence had bearing. Dark blue is not worn by the police for no reason. It has long been known to suggest security and inspire trust. No wonder at all that light blue, the color of the sky would inspire creativity when you consider your innocent childhood wonder when watching clouds. __________________ You don't get wise because you got old, you get old because you were wise.

	G'day Mate. You should see the coppers here. They were dark blue overalls. When I talk to Brendan I don't see his uniform at all. I see a dad of three who tries his best to keep us protected. 	Takes a real man to have the guts to wear pink. Really, I mean it. Not that I wear pink often, and don't think now I have a pink thing to wear, but I remember James Boy the Pilot showing up one day on the ramp in a pink Christian Dior shirt. Big guy, Bald head. Dutch features. Girl bought shirt. He wore it. Think they were riding around on their motorcycles. Say Hey! It really amazes me how many 'new' ideas these probably govt. funded 'studies' come up with. As part of a business class I took back in the late '70s the use of color in advertizing was discussed in great length. It was recognized then that the color red meant danger, pay attention, get it right or else. The emotional response to all the various colors was examined. Who pays to have this stuff regurgitated every so often? Why it must be another case of OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK. __________________ They that do not learn from history and apply those lessons to the present are bound to repeat its failures.
