Over Unity Magnet Motor or TRICK?

04/07/2015 2:49 PM

Ok, can someone here explain what's going on here

Data analysis is difficult due to the language barrier (I don't trust ANY video 'evidence' as it is far to easy to fake) but the claims appear to be for a free energy self running over unity magnet motor.

The English responses on the message boards of a separate site didn't help (even the most sensible responses mentioned zero point energy and Rodin coils).

How does it work, either hidden power source, magnet assisted or video editing given previous similar 'devices' where video evidence is provided (and there have been many examples over the years).

Not over unity, and certainly not original. Don't believe everything you see.

Yes this was passed to me from our controls tech. I asked him about it, and there were sites/blogs that mentioned they video that there's a hidden power source (battery). But when challenged no video or proof of the source.

Speculation, yes, Yet still no explanation.

I never end paid much attention to this kind of stuff. But considering the circumstances how I came accross this, I was just wondering if this was seen before.

I have seen similar devices online that just used the magnets to cause the rotation.

The rotation was enough to generate a small amount of current in associated coils to power an LED or two and not enough load to stop the magnets spinning. Eventually however the magnets would depolarise and stop so effectively the magnets were acting as the energy source (be it a very inefficient system, repolarising or replacing a magnet is going to require far more energy than the system can produce).

This is quite a common free energy field where people initially think that magnets can provide magnetic force indefinitely (which they cannot). Very easy for people to test and disprove themselves however (which is good) but that doesn't stop these sort of devices from continuing to pop up periodically.

GA from me. When i worked at UWA my prof was asked by a wily old man why the magnets at the end of an iron ore conveyor, used to deflect the iron rich ore to a different pile than the muck, kept on doing work without depleteing. He answered that they will eventually deplete but as the energy is atomic energy it will take a long time. This is in line with your explanation and so the GA from me. Added to this you explained about the small load from the LEDs.

Using coils, "external" energy can also be supplied by wireless transmission.

What amazed me, was that the machine seems to gain speed, as if it can produce more energy than is required to produce the apparent rotation...

A second power source driving a motor and interacting with the magnetic force of the magnets perhaps?

It would be interesting to see a statement from the 'inventor' as to what he believes is going on. Oh well, shouldn't take too long to get on PESWiki

Wireless transmission, the feild has to repeatedly calapse and reestanlish to induce a current.??

How it gain speed. I just thought this was interesting like ....... Figuring out a magicians trick.

We figured as much, general interest on how it was done rather than us requiring that we "have the over unity talk" with you.

Lets not get to carried away with super capacitor disassembly and wireless power transfer.

Sure we could replicate the results a number of different ways but these scams are not that complicated so keeping it simple (like most magic tricks no matter how complicated they may appear), its probably the most obvious thing - a hidden battery and creative video editing.

Ahhhhh! The "Brown Suit Guy". You are definitely onto something. When you add in "Smiley Guy, and "Gray Hair Guy" you know you have a winner. I especially like it when they add in some "hottie" associated with a university. They never mention her position, so I just guess she works in the cafeteria or is a janitor.

I agree that it is interesting, and presents questions such as, is that a magnetic reed switch in the sticks? Is there something laminated between the sticks, such as a strip of steel of the type used to construct stator cores? If so, what effect would this have on the reed switch? What effect would operation in a vacuum have? What influence does the earths magnetic field have on it? Anyway, thanks for the post!

What is with the ice cream sticks they move? A crude power switch?

True, I have a hard time believing someone has designed, built and demonstrated a machine that is self powering and yet built from plastic sheeting and hardware bolts.

Buyer Beware!

I think the odds are high that battery power is hidden at the center of the coils. The stick senses position to apply a voltage across the coils, hence the direction change when the stick is shifted to the other side.

Yes, most likely the batteries are cleverly hidden in the coils, or even in the middle of the popsicle stick sandwich, it's even possible that the "clear" plastic base may be flashed with a photovoltaic thinfilm coating (like my perpetual motion Casio watch). Also note that we can not see off camera where there may be a motor driven rotating magnet, and that the device is not self starting and no useful power is extracted.

That was my thought, too. Why use such large 'bolts' to hold the coils? I think it's a fake to hide the batteries.

Did a little digging into film supercapacitors, seems that you can "unwind" certain brands and carefully cut to any shape you want. I believe that will explain the thin black line that you see in the middle of the popsicle stick sandwich, why else would there be a need for two sticks and two terminal posts at the free end of the stick.

From what I can see: Coils, LED's and reed switch? All connected in parallel, with proximity to left or right hand coil to the reed switch, where reed switch is moved in and out of the coil or magnet field. The coil winding direction is not clear, nor is wether this is pure motor action or it is a magnetic flywheel that would eventually slow and stop. It would be worth building anyway.

The way I have always explained over unity is this.

If you are intelligent enough to figure out how to make it work you are also knowledgeable enough to know why to keep it to yourself.

If you can't follow this then I cant explain it to you in a way you would understand.

Most of the perpetual motion toys, I believe, have a battery and transistor circuit that acts like a negative resistance. When the magnet passes the coil, the induced voltage gives a little extra push so that the "motor" speeds up, but it will not start by itself. It will run in either direction. I suspect that moving the popsicle stick was a diversion and the direction of rotation was really determined by how it was started. These things draw very little current, and a small lithium battery could power it and easily be hidden.

Now that they've proven the concept, you can get in on the ground floor by sending them some development money. They will probably spend it better than their investors will.

I started my Machinist / Tool and Die / Mold Maker career in 1981 and apprenticed under a lifelong Machinist / Inventor named George.

His last name escapes me right now and I know he passed away many years ago but I would like to thank him for inspiring me to push the boundries of what I thought could be machined on manual machines. That's enough of that.

George was on a quest to build a "Perpetual Motion" machine. He had piles of papers with designs and calculations on them which he guarded very closely. His machines that failed to work were promptly taken apart, cut apart and the parts scattered in the scrap bins.

It took me months to win his trust and I actually helped him with his designs and made some parts for him.

I soon realized that friction was one of the biggest factors that he was trying to overcome and the other was the production of more energy out than what was put in. His contraptions were extravagant and elaborate and every one failed to overcome those 2 things, Friction and energy produced.

George was a man that was a dreamer and he inspired me to "Dream" too.

He shaped my career for decades to come, and still does!

It appears to be related to the ones where two shaded pole motors are placed in parallel, one generates, and the other motors! How it actually works I don't know, but I was going to make a prototype to learn from....probably that I can't make it work.

A device to induce a "rotating" magnetic field similar to the one inside a 3 phase motor and just strong enough to put an almost zero-loaded magnet system like that into rotation could easily be positioned at a MUCH grater distance than that camera covers. What bothers me is that some ass*ole took the time to make all that construction just to fool people with no obvious gain other than feeling superior. Or does he sell something? S.M.

This practice is quite common (just look at PESWiki).

In my experience many seem to embellish their results because they (likely) believe they are so close to an over unity or free energy breakthrough that they have to tell the world of their 'discovery', falsely assuming they can fix the problems with their non-working design that works for a while but keeps stopping. Others appear to perform these 'scams' just for the hell of it.

Some just turn out to be plain nuts. Drako aliens anyone?
