Covid Vaccine

03/07/2021 8:53 PM

Who, here, plans to:

  • Get the vaccine
  • Not get the vaccine
  • Have already had one shot
  • Have already had both(if required)

I've had both.

Thanks. For years, I've seen occasional replies within CR4 threads that were clearly veiled ads, and this current year I've seen a few things like:

"Binance Customer Service Phone Number (808) 481-5..."

in today's "Latest Topics of Discussion", but I've just ignored them. It looks like PWS has been keeping track of the "names" used by those posters, apparently for a long time...

Had my 1st last week. In the UK we gat a letter inviting us to book on-line but others I know have had to travel up to 50 miles to the vaccination centre offered when booking. I ignored the on-line booking & called my doctor's surgery. They made an appointment over the phone for the nearest centre, within walking distance from my home.

10 minutes from first check in to getting stuck

longest wait is the 15 minute observation period

this could have happened 6 months ago

could have saved my job

Well Hell!

It seems I have logged into Cr4 from every device I own. Crap. I wanted to join the anonymous club and bash SE too.

Damn my laziness. I saved my password to all my devices. It won't let me sign on as anon.

Happy Friday All.

SE, love ya bro. It ain't me. LoL

If I want to attack someone personally I do it to their face. No time for cowards who cant be bothered to own their words, Had four years of that shit. Enough.

Whether I agree with SE or not he always comes at you staight out. You have to respect that. May be a wienie on other counts but being "in your face" is an admirable trait.

I made a promise to myself decades ago. If I ever felt the need to kill someone I would do it with a knife. Personal responsibily. Look you in the eye.

If its "personal", then do it "personally"

BTW, I heard a president speak last night. 23 minutes without any bullshit, lies, personal attacks, bullying. Thats how you do it.

GET YOUR DAMN SHOT! WEAR THE DAMN MASK! ACT LIKE AN AMERICAN!

The longer this bugger is allowed to spread unchecked the more lethal it will become. That's how this shit works folks. A virus has one genetically programmed mission in its life. Reproduce as fast and efficiently as possible. If the virus discovers it becomes more infectious by becoming lethal that is the evolution it will take.

If you dribble vaccine out the virus has time to mutate against it.

If you actively work against public health I know you are not an American, I just cant figure out what you are. Not human, that much is certain.; Humans have risen to the top of the food chain without any of the necessary weapons, skills, or tools of apex predators. We have done this by banding together and working as a unit for common good. Survived floods, fires, ice ages, extinction events, natural disasters, disease and still keep growning. Those are humans. Not sure about some "people" at this point. Maybe a human form cancer? They look like humans but their mission is like cancer, to destroy the body not strengthen it.

An anthropologist once noted, When it comes to survival, don't bet against the mammal.

Thus endeth the rant.

It's been two weeks since my second "jab." (Pfizer) NO side effects, except for pain at the injection site that was very minor, both times. It took 30 minutes, including the 15 minute wait each time. very well run!

Wife's arm was hot, red and painful for three days after her second. Now she's fine.

We'll still wear masks and social distance, as much as possible in crowds.

Re: Covid Vaccine

Our vaccine rollout has been slow because of a lack of supply, but is now ramping up. I will register for my appointment to get it as soon as my group comes up. Looks like age 60-65 is the last group in tier two, so that could be April or May according to the latest news on supply. As in the UK, our public health have decided there is enough data to defer the second doses for up to 4 months, in order to get some level of protection across the wider community - although the top tier groups in high risk health care and residents of LTC homes have gotten two shots. But they are hoping to have us all get a second shot by September.

I've had a lot of vaccines in my lifetime, quite a few extra ones related to international travel risks, and from all I've heard about vaccine reactions it is not a bit different from the same reactions I've had from other vaccines. It's not pleasant but what a great alternative to having the disease itself. Typhoid, yellow fever, covid... nope, will happily put up with a little soreness or aches or sniffles for a day or two instead of a case of any of these.

The other firm reason for getting the vaccine, is to contribute to community protection, so that those who can't get the vaccine are also sheltered from the risk. At least, I'll do my best that no one will be getting it from me.

Some reaction to the vaccine shows that it is working to some degree. When I was young the proof of having had a small pox shot was the scar. I never scarred so I kept getting the shot. I am grateful for some reaction to this day, for that reason.

Re: Covid Vaccine

I drove 184 miles each way last Friday into the Central Valley from San Francisco to get my first shot. I maybe able to get the 2nd closer to home. It was a Pfizer shot, no reaction at all, I expected at least a sore arm. So looking forward to herd immunity, doing my part.

Cheers, 2tinker

Friend of ours winter home is in Florida, they also had to drive hours one way. And they had to drive to the same place to get the second shot.

im glad things ‘appear’ to be improving.

I'll wait until we know how things work out a year or so from now for those who have already taken the shot.

I've been directly exposed several times to the virus, at my regular (government) job, and haven't been sick. Neither I nor the other employees were wearing masks at the time.

Only about 50% of the NIH have gotten the shot and of those more than half refused the second shot.

Do you have any links?
