On the lighter side.

Engineering Question of the Day

Q.) How much does a house weigh???

A.) Just a tad more than a rural bridge can hold, apparently.
Nice location, but how do you put your car in the garage?

SO WOULD THIS BE COVERED BY HOUSE INSURANCE, CAR INSURANCE, OR, DOES IT COME UNDER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
??? How do you think they got it back on the road?

Water !! in SA it will fall under the Marine Shipping Act.

I am sure the house was not sea worthy.

Wrong double_j_b!

That's a house bridge or, more properly, a covered bridge. A trailer truck tried to go through but the bottom fell out. Look, you can see the truck's cab to the left and the wheels hanging out in the middle of the third picture .

I'm seeing things...time to go to bed. G'night!

Why move it? Put a deck around it, install a BBQ and sell it as a prime waterfront location. Hell, drop a set of stairs, build a dock and add a fishing boat. What more could you ask for?

You forgot the direct highway access. This fits in well with the average commuter.

It seems to me the most important issue is how the homeowner explains it to his wife:

"Honey! Didn't you say you always wanted a houseboat?"

Improper float test procedure requires sky hook extraction.

I hate to be picky, but in the top picture, the bottoms of the tyres are flat. In fact, they look a lot like the tyres in the bottom right picture which appear to be resting on the grass in the background and not dangling in mid air. I'm guessing this accident took place on a computer.

Seems a resolution issue more than ...anything else notice the frame has been enlarged a bit too much.

I'm guessing the single tandem group of wheels was used for maneuverability and lack of proper prior planning usually results in pretty poor performance.

You got me thinking about the computer manipulation theory and after looking for errors in close-up on paint (The No1 program for all your graphical detective work!) I am going to stick my neck out and say it is 'to my best of my detective skills' an original photo of an error of judgement on behalf of the transport company!
