GM Can Go to Hell

10/06/2009 10:56 PM

Have you seen the TV commercial for Chevrolet where they put down Toyota for their gas mileage and praise the Chevy's gas mileage. GM had years to get it right. Why now are they doing something about it. My guess is, that if they have improved gas mileage, it was at the cost of something, like a different gear ratio or engine de-tuning. 21mpg on a Silverado! No way. Never have I seen a company that thought the public is so stupid like GM. I'll take Ford any day.

If they are trying to cut costs, why then are they making GMC and Chevy trucks? They are identical except for some trim and the badge. They could all be made in one plant and the appropriate badge put on by the dealer.

This reminds me of my nephews who use to argue about which was better, chevy and fords.

And they thought they were experts...........at 15 years old.

Last night, there was a TV program (Discovery?) that followed the demise of the electric car in the U.S. Without going into details, it showed how the auto makers, oil companies and the government conspired to kill the electric car. I hope you saw it.

hey its all your fault, yes you personally are the problem. Why did you snub the GM NOVA, it is a Toyota celica made jointly by Gm and toyota. why did you not buy 3 Pontiac vibes, it gets better mileage than any Honda in it class.

So, why didn't you personally buy the high mileage cars GM made? Instead, you and your friends bought Tahoes...

If these auto companies really wanted to cut some cost they'ld get rid of half of their management and the unions.
