The Good, The Bad, The Off-Topic?

Voting system for answers might need some revamping to eliminate a bit of confusion.

In the post "Sizing a Water Service for Residential Home", there was a very long "off-topic" discussion of confusion over how a comment was marked off topic, and why the tally was so high.

I would suggest minimal changes, 3 buttons to vote a comment GA, BA (bad answer), and off-topic.

If the commenter chooses to self select "offitopic", the comment still gets the 5 Off topic points.

Comments???

Threads take on a life of their own, it's difficult to predict which one's will elicit on topic responses

or if they will stop

occasionally I'll get an email notification about a thread that is several years old

is it possible to be OT on a thread about OT?

what color are the worms in this can?

It's nothing you did. The beginning of the discussion was fine. But, as is often the case we, collectively, can't leave things alone.

We're now at post #100 in a discussion that should have died a quiet death 50 or 60 posts ago. That's the nature of the beast.
