Recharging Batteries While Driving

04/06/2012 10:06 AM

I am building EV cars and am looking for ways to charge the batteries, so my buyers will not have to stop for a charge. I am a manufacturer of Custom Solar Panel so i believe i know about this method but i am opened to suggestions.

Yea, I don't think this thread is going to offer much more. Like you said there is just no meaningful input. I had fairly high hopes at the start too.

Oh well.

Jack - Actually the application Engineer in our companies newly-acquired HV transmission level solar division (New Zealand branch). Yes I know you know how I feel about current silicon-based solar (and for good reason), but someone had to be and I am it apparently.

sir,

My son had developed one motor bike battery operated. He had used two 12 volt units.

One use to be in operation and second was getting charged with alternator continuously

driven by the chain.the weight of the battery gets added but helps in extending the driving distance by another 50 %

So what you are saying that by adding the alternator driven by the first motor powered by the first battery the unit goes 50% further?

But if he just used the two batteries together without the alternator it would probably go 100%+ further.
