Silly Discussion

07/04/2012 3:38 AM

Schroedinger and Heisenberg have invited you to a party, should you go?
And will you ever get a drink?
Del
And what if Rene Descarte turns up, do you think it will help?

That'll make for a really dull party.

Anyway, he can never make up his mind.

So, do you celebrate the 4th of July? Sort of a "good riddance to bad rubbish" day?

Re: Silly Discussion

Schroedinger's Cat is a moral problem, not a quantum problem. IF the physicist puts the cat into the chamber, THEN there is a possibility of no live cat coming out. So, as long as the beer is in the bottle, and as long as the bacon is in the pan, then there is a possibility of a party, no matter how uncertain Heisenberg might be of the outcome! If Decarte brings the strippers you will know they exist. And if you have too much beer and bacon then you may find yourself being in two places at the same time, which may cause dizzyness....

Beer, bacon and strippers won't make Mrs. Cat happy.

Better be sure you only go home with beer and bacon on your breath.

"too much beer and bacon"

Such a thing does not exist!

(It is just the total absence of not enough beer and bacon.)

There are medications now that would greatly reduce those feelings of uncertainty, in principal anyway.

Then again I have never really ever been all that certain of my principals ether. But that has yet to ever bother enough to matter anyway.

Can I put my wifes cat in the uncertainty box while I am at the party?

Del Going home and telling your wife that you think you've been to a party, therefore you must have been to a party, but that you are uncertain of where the party was, or if there were any other cool cats present, or beer bacon and strippers, will land you very certainly in the dog house.

Turn up

Pat the cat

Sit on the provided Planck at all times

Wave matter to Prof. Higgs

Toss the String back to the cat in theory

Rationalize the reason for being there, and

Return home, if indeed home does or doesn't exist.

Do you really want to get it out? Submerge the box in 3 feet of water. Now, the problem is, how long do you wait to find out if the cat is really in the box?

If present, his state of being will be self evident.
