Perpetual solar powered time machine (details, and link to a website, in the video). This one is useful because it gives you a readout as you teleport forward through time.

Please, study "entanglement" in particle physics. That will lead you into the area of teleportation, as it is practiced by some particle physicists. Time machines are bit hairier, as in most theories you need to get closely involved with black holes. Good luck with that.

First wire the solar panel to two electrodes and insert one in each ear or one up your nose and one up your backside (depends on whether you want to go forward or backward in time) then just lick the batteries and stare at the sun. Eventually you will start to get the feeling you are traveling through time.

One minute you will here then you will black out and wake up and it will be another time, usually some time later. Just keep repeating the process until you reach the point in time you want.

With 23 batteries, there are only two sensible choices: all in series, or all in parallel.

Re: Time Machine

In series of course, this connected to the solar cell will produce enough backward moving light from the 2ft2 of the array to light in the area to slow down. As we all know time is relative to the speed of light.

There are only two draw backs with your system, the first is that 2ft2 may not be enough to contain your whole body. Any part poking outside the array area will be left behind when you jump. ie your whole body or lose some. To provide a effective system you are going to need a bigger array and a whole lot more batteries. 3ft2 is the minimum I would suggest but powering is is going to require 8 times more batteries than you have.

The second is that you can not, I repeat, can not touch the system or array while it is powered since it will interfere with the production of backlight. It is also a known fact that doing so will stop you from aging, however you have succeeded in your quest since in all the years that you pass by entering your time machine you will always be known to be that age.

All the best with your endevour.

Your going to need something more portable that you can wear. I use the Casio Wave Cepter because it contains its own solar panel and battery.

But most importantly, it receives data from the atomic clock in Boulder, CO transmitted via a radio tower in Fort Collins, CO.

I also like the fact that it is waterproof to 10 Bar, just in case I end up in the water somewhere.

It has many features I don't understand, but have I successfully move forward in time three years since I bought it a few years ago.

Good luck in your travels and don't take any wooden Nickles!

Oh, by the way 23 x 9v is 207 volts. Be careful, that's enough power to make time stand still.

You need to build high voltage circuits with capacitors and try antigravity stuff from Tesla's work. If you go back in time say hai to Tesla and Edison from my side :)

WARNNG:

Be VERY careful when using this system! If you travel back before 1956 and your batteries die, you may end up being unable to return!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine-volt_battery#History

Using a similar system, I went back to 1948 to get Babe Ruth to autograph a baseball for me before he died, but I left the lights on and drained the batteries. It took me 6 years to get home!

Re: Time Machine

sadibo, I'm sorry to have to give you this bad news but I have just returned from the future where a time machine made with the exact materials that you have described, plus some rudimentary circuitry, was incinerated upon reintegration. The sole occupant of the craft was no more than a cinder and ID through DNA was impossible to determine. Thus although I could give you all of the necessary information my duty as a lesser Time Lord prevents me from harming, allowing harm or facilitating harm to less advanced life forms. Please trust me my friend, it's for your own good that you immediately cease production of these types of craft for 127 years, after this time your race will be expected to have the ability to traverse time and space effortlessly.

Perhaps you should try your hand at creating great video games (I have inside information that you would be a success in that industry).

Good luck in your future endeavours!

Re: Time Machine

08/12/2012 1:04 AM

Parts List:

2 alligator clips

8 feet of Jeffry Tubes( 4Ea at 2Ft.)

4 Jeffry elbows

Dilithium crystals with 99.9% purity(For neutron generation)

Latinum Bullion for making wires.

Epoxy Resin Hardener

1 200 ft long fiber optic, single mode cable

1 Funnel with mirrored sides to fit optic cable.

Large end of funnel must fit thru and nest on your toilet seat, and be sealed to it in a vacuum tight mode.

1Kilogram of Kentucky Jelly (Common name KY Jelly)

Instructions:

Mix the Latinum Bullion with the epoxy hardener, and while still pliable, roll it between your hands to form two large conductors sufficient to reach from the funnel to the water below the toilet seat.Connect all batteries in series. You should have 207 Volts DC if properly connected.

Do NOT connect batteries to latinum cables at this time.

Using 4 Jeffry Elbows, form the tubes into a square.

Drill and tap a 6mm hole in one of the Jeffry tubes, and install a 6 mm copper screw into the hole. This will be used for the negative conductor of the cables made previously.

Thread the fibre optic cable into the funnel, and flush the toilet.Flush again to ensure it is fully extended. This will serve as a photon antenna.

If your ears are not already pierced, do do before proceeding.

A nose ring, tongue stud or eyebrow stud will work as well, so use what you have.

Ok, now we are ready to make the connections and go for a ride through time.

Sit with naked butt on the funnel, and apply Kentucky Jelly liberally to all contact surfaces,.

Place the jefrry tube square on the floor, and connect the negative cable to the copper screw.

Place bare feet on the Jeffry Tubes.

Now connect the positive side of the batteries to the other wire that you made.

Now get ready, brace yourself, because the G Force during takeoff can sometimes cause people to black out.

When you are fully prepared, attach the positive wire to you ear ring, nose ring, or body piercing of choice.

If everything works right, you will be transformed into photons, and sucked down the funnel into the fiber optic cable. The jelly is to prevent a clog of photons as they are compressed into the funnel.

When you arrive at the other end, call me yesterday.

PS:

If this doesn't work, let me know, and we will try something else.

Connect one terminal of the solar cell to your left ear and then connect the other lead from the array to your right ear and wait for the sun to come up. Tightly grip the 9volt battery in your teeth being careful to place the terminals inside your mouth so that the positive pole on the 9volt battery is on the same side as the negative lead from the solar cell.

Listen carefully to the messages you receive and don't be surprised when you wake up in the future.

I'm surprised no one has brought this up by now, but this is getting ridiculous. It's gone way too far! 23 9V batteries? Really? To try this without at least 24 9V batteries is just going to get you or someone else in the space time continuum hurt!

You do not have the necessary parts to build a time machine/teleportation system.

For more information try an internet search of TARDIS.

The time rotor solved that pesky flux capacitor and 1.21 gigawatt power consumption problem.

However having a Tardis could make you slightly spastic and have a tendency to picking up relatively hot chicks around London and thereabouts.

Not that that is a bad thing.

Thanks for all your advice. In preliminary results, as you can tell from the pic, my hair IS trying to escape the space time continuum. By upping the power to (((m2-m1)^3)(c^2)^50))), or 1.21 yottawatts, I should be able to move immediately to the bar AFTER work in <1 yoctosecond. So what size solar panel will I need?

Thanks for "lightening" me up for the weekend

This just in from my home planet. Not so smart has been held for questioning as to why he was seen running around throwing what appeared to be human ash dust and giggling merrily about "suckers"?

If you don't know by now, he already owns patents to time travel and is very aggressive at protecting those rights. As I am concerning Hyperspace transportation assemblies. We work well together.

You guys get so complex with your designs. I figure that a wind up alarm clock would satisfy the time machine requirement, and a bicycle would satisfy the teleport requirement. If you wanted to do the deluxe model, you could duct tape the clock to the bicycle.

Not so fast. There may be hope for the "cocaine comet" yet.

I'm working on a way to compress daylight saving time, plasmic translation and time travel into the PV cells on the skin of the DeLorean to take advantage of the extra daylight available.

I'll have to travel up and get much closer to the sun, too. May get too hot.

I may do that at night.

Warning:

Do not stare at this image unless you are sober.

SUCCESS! I've finally done it.Here it is:

Notice the distortion due to FTL speed. This same effect makes people look fatter in the past than they really are.

Hmm!?Could this also explain why people on TV look 10 pounds heavier: the CRT scanning electrons are approaching C?

Can't see the pic, cause my system won't allow it. Can you post it directly, rather than as a link. My system says it's an auction site.

Can't.

That's my point.

But, I guess it could be a blessing in disguise. Can't see it, can't sign up to buy it. No harm, no foul!!

Alas, I recieved a clue from the future about the past that presently the only element that can be used in the transition of time was depleted by the first developer of the device. It seems the inventor traveled to the past and aquired all the known source of the element thereby erasing its knowledge from our present since it was aquired before its discovery..........I think this clue was passed to us on a fly-by to the future by the only device brought into existance...........( sort of like trash thrown out of a moving vechile ).
