We should stick to textbook questions, broken Cavaliers, and turbines that go hot and wobbly after an in-house rebuild.

Oh, no doubt, given the time and attention he might just screw this up too!!! Certainly, he is handy at that.

Show me a world in which the leaders represent the people, and I will show you a world in which war doesn't exist.

I think that statement is fundamentally flawed, at least as far as humans go.

Roll back the Wayback Machine as far as you want and you will always find conflict, whether it is between individuals, families, tribes or nations.

Clearly individuals represent themselves in a pure sense and a family's interest could easily be represented by a single "leader". I am sure there are many leaders that genuinely fought for the well being of their followers just as there were those that were nefarious.

Conflict is a genetically inherit attribute of humans. It doesn't matter how altruistic a leader is, there is always the potential of conflict and history has recorded just that from the roots of time.

Conflict in the world today is very cruel, one race claiming majority votes in legislature and decimating minorities by force & claim one race, one language, one religious country.look at Nazi Germany where are Jews?. If minority donot support government due to refused human rights they use force on them while UN say it is internal affair. Those days when there was no UN or superpowers world was good, the fittest survived, now majority or those support a super power survives.

"Conflict in the world today is very cruel"

You should take a comprehensive history class.

If you think things are cruel today you would be aghast to find out how life was in the centuries and millennia past.

Please keep bho as long as you can and disconnect his communications so he can't screw up anything else here in our country. I hope michelle is with him as well.

The Scoreboard of bho's "accomplishments" speaks for itself, i.e., I think the highest corporate tax rates in the world, high unemployment, high tax rates, unbridled government programs, $17,500,000,000,000+ of debt, and growing tremendously fast, etc. This guy has spent more money and caused such a problem for this country financially that we will never recover from. As Albert Einstein said, "compound interest is the eigth wonder of the world."

Could you please kindly invite BHO (I like to call him just ordinary B.O.) to expatriate to your country, and pay him whatever you feel like, as long as he doesn't waste any more of our phunny money (printed at whim) on extravagant plane trips to the other side of the world? We will be happy to put him on loan to any nation, for a really modest price.

Congrats fro stirring the hornet's nest. We Indians can just sit back and watch the fun. You made a very simple noncontroversial(at least from Indian point of view) that it is great that President Obama is visiting India for 26th Jan 2015 Republic day celebrations. We will be delighted to have Obama visit us.

Look the discussion has taken a totally different direction- nothing to do with the visit. I think the discussions must stop at this stage and let things cool off.

The Thread has everything to do with the visit of bho to India. It is about who and what bho is.

Any conversation about bho "stirs up the nest" because we know how incompetant he is and the damage that he has done to this once great country and that the damage will linger for decades. $18,000,000,000,000 of debt, with the lion's share of that being his fault, will impact generations of people negatively.

What's not to understand?

what is unsettling to the people who follow BHO, is people point out that the man (BHO) does not live up to his own expectations

Maybe it is because he lives up to his own expectations. I'm not positive bho is just incompentant at President, I think he also has ulterior motives for the country. No one can be as poor as he is, or, someone is pulling his strings as a marrianet.

the point being, some of the responses did not reflect a good light on BHO, which did not sit well.

Is there a "good light" for bho? Me thinks not.

I'm not sure I can find anything good to say of any of his policies, philosophy and character.

Back to the OP. I'm still sure that you will enjoy the experience.

If your 4 year old grandson attends, just be sure to explain LBGT. It is currently the central focus of our president's attention.
