With China's grip on the rare-earth market, do you think an alternative electric motor technology can be perfected that side steps the need (and costs) for the metals in motors?

Carelessly posted question.

There are mines for the stuff at many places. China was dumping, and the price pressure closed these mines for a while. Rare earth minerals are not rare at all. All of this was discussed in detail at previous threads.

High permeability core motors exist for a half a century, coreless ones almost as long.

What the heck is with this blurting out something without most basic research done first?
