Ah, one of my favorite stories of the year has resurfaced. I've been chronicling the tale of Bo Eriksson and the destruction of a $1 million dollar Ferrari Enzo that he may or may not have owned.
For those who aren't up-to-date, the basic story is as follows (from a previous post of mine from early March):, ..."an ultra rare Ferrari Enzo was destroyed in an alcohol fueled racing accident on the Pacific Coast Highway outside of Malibu. The $1 million dollar Enzo, one of only 400 in existence, is believed to have been traveling at over 160 MPH, when it went airborne, crashed into a power pole and split in half. Amazingly, the (possible) owner and (possible) driver (you really have to read the story and watch the video news report) walked away with very minor injuries."
Eriksson, once the head of video game developer Gizmondo Europe, is on trial for the accident and embezzlement related to $4 million dollars worth of stolen sports cars.
Maybe we'll get all the questions answered, like:
Who is Dietrich? (or more to the point, was there a Dietrich?)
Who was driving?
Was there another car?
Were they actually going 160 MPH?
How could you be so freakin stupid to destroy a beautiful car like that?
