Stearic Acid and Bar Soap

06/22/2009 8:12 AM

A FULL, 100% SYNTETIC TOILET SOAP HAS NO STEARIC ACID OR COMMOM SOAP ADDED, BETWEEN OTHERS POSSIBLE COMPONENTS. WE WANT TO ADD FROM 10% TO 15% OF STEARIC ACID TO A FORMULATION AT THE MIX STEP BUT AVOIDING THE GRITNESS / SANDNESS EFFECT. THIS BAD EFFECT HAS BEEN OBSERVED / PRESENT IF WE ONLY MELT THE STEARIC PRIOR ITS ADDITION TO THE MIXER. OUR QUESTION IS: IS THERE ANY OTHER METHOD TO ADD IT AVOIDING THE PROBLEM DISCREBED ABOVE ? MANY THANKS - LM
