11 KV Cable

You can very well use a 33kV Rated Cable in a 11kV System. But, I need some more clarifications. You say all other equipments like switchgear & transformers are 33kV; then where from you got this 11kV supply?

Check the current carrying capacity. (Are you the guest who does not want to pay for the 33KV connection ?)

Your question is not clear. To my mind 2 different answer-options are coming to my mind.

FOR 1st OPTION IN MY MIND:

The answer to your question is YES.

Yes, you can use the 33 kV Cable and its switch gears can be put into use for 11 kV Supply, subject to condition that AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT EXCEED THE CURRENT LIMIT for the specified size of the cable. You have not indicated the cable size.

FOR THE 2nd OPTION IN MY MIND:

In the given 33 kv system if you connect to supply of 11 kV, the out put voltage will be one-third of the volt to that of 33 kV input. This may be technically O.K., but the functioning of the equipment will suffer.
