How Green is Your Chemistry?

California's Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) released its Draft Regulation for Safer Consumer Products, requiring manufacturers to label their products and possibly face recall if the substances are deemed harmful. The new "Green Chemistry" law promises to protect the public from toxic components, but it could also mean that some products could be outright banned from sale. Creating safer products is a good thing, but is the industry prepared to make the change? How should the change in products be prioritized?

Fortunately we don't have the silly CA laws to contend with where I live. Ours are a bit on the too loose side for that matter.

Initiative of WHO in such threats will be benificial..
