It's American, and given the period transportation in front, I'm guessing it's at the Ford Museum in Dearborn. The only one I know of that sells 2 day tickets as standard (and you need 'em!)

Or it's a stage flat at a film studio somewhere.

The architecture looks like it's Georgian. Possibly in Savannah GA or Charleston SC?

A home on Mackinac Island, Michigan - where cars are not allowed?

When I read your post I thought how wonderful it'd be living there, but then I wandered: How do they move over there all of the supplies, food and stuff that the people need?. How do paramedics take patients to the hospital?; police chases are performed in bicycles? .

It is a truly unusual place, and well worth visiting.

How do paramedics take patients to the hospital?; police chases are performed in bicycles?

keep in mind, since transportation is restricted with peddle or horse drawn carriages, All pursuits will be the same............. unless you put a twist on the adage, "only criminals have motor vehicles."

Beautiful place though.

Looks like they're expecting high waters......the entire house is raised way above the ground level.

Also, down in the southeast they raise houses off the ground in this manner to help cool the house with air circulation....

Could also be located in New Orleans Louisiana or Mississippi.

So it isn't a structure that slides out of the way immediately prior to the launch of Thunderbird 1? Oh, OK.

On closer inspection, those look like palm trees on the left side of the house. (Hard to see very well on the monitor I've got.) So Michigan is out.

Must be south. Tropical. Looks American. Florida, maybe. Key West?

I don't think SE is correct. There is a sign post in one but not the other, they are different.

Count the pickets in the fence, count the slats in the shutters... as I have done.

How many years do you suppose might separate the images?

It is, I believe, the same structure.

Sheesh pg, let SE have yet another. He only has about three hunnerd of these correct!

[edit] Now I see the sidewalk... same?

Look at the size of the tree on the left, I'd say at least 15-20 years difference.
