The strap isn't there to hold the sand down at all.

The sand is there to stop the strap flappin' about.

OK, remember when Sam slipped down the hill in front of the black gate? Frodo slid down the hill to help him. A enemy soldier saw the dust from the sliding and came over to investigate and Frodo quickly covered him and Sam with the cloaks they got from Lorien, which were magic so that the soldiers saw only a plain rock. I guess it was a bit of a stretch: rock = pile of dirt.

OK - not funny, just what I thought of at the moment!

A short time before this picture was taken, a couple miles back the road, and the reason we have so many labels on products these days.

"Okay - lets go over the check list the boss gave me:"

1. load sand - "check"

2. put on tarp - "check"

3. strap it down - "check"

"Oh dang nab it! I wonder if you're supposed to do #2 before #3." "Hmmmm - nah, probably doesn't or the boss would have told me so."

The townsfolk, devastated by the attack of the giant kitty-cats, elected Dug to drive the truck out of Podunk. Dug did not go for this, which is why his hands and feet were duct taped to the controls.

We took the top of the mountain off so we could get to the coal underneath, and put it on this here flatbed. When the coal is gone we'll put the top of the mountain right back on, so none of them environmentalists can complain that we didn't clean up afterwards.

Yep. the bank evicted me, but I got the last laugh. I took the farm with me when I left.

But between the time I took this picture and the time I got off the highway, somebody stole it right off the truck, and I didn't even stop once!
