What her husband gave her vs. what she wanted!

Husband: "Honey, you need to be more clear!"

There are just some people that even when given the ladder to success...still manage to screw it up!

But the craftsman idi*t would likely saw the ladder off of the shelf!

We received a report about a board meeting that stepped up to a problem regarding the correct way to handle the tools of the trade, when entering into a new way, to approach a caption, that explains the situation.

Publicity photo for my new patented fully disassembling ladder. You would be amazed how many DIYers make this sort of mistake. There's a massive market out there for this product.

Re: Caption This 06/28/2019 Shelf&Ladder Kit

06/29/2019 11:26 AM

It's a Complete Kit

Billy: "I don't need no stinkin' directions." The shelves came in a kit complete with parts to build the ladder. Billy knew exactly where he wanted each shelf so he used the shelf lug studs to mount the ladder steps and the permanent screws to mount the shelves. You can just lift off the bottom steps to remove the ladder. No problem !

Looks like the shelving of this project is the right step to take. That might be a saw sore point and someone is going to get drilled over why this happened. Nail the plank that put this together before someone gets screwed!

Even in carpentry, one can encounter the proverbial "glass wood ceiling" to hinder promotion.

In this case, being that it was of their own making, maybe it is justified.

The other alternative would be to let out contracts to the highest bidder. Good luck with that.

In actual practice, it's supposed to go to the lowest qualified bidder...

Yeah, like the accountants know where to put "qualified" into their spreadsheets. If THEY don't know how to assign a dollar value to it, it DOES NOT exist to them.

(And before you ask, no, they almost never look at the "what will it cost to fix if this group screws up the install" column. They don't understand that failure is ALWAYS an option, typically not a desired option, but it's there on the list of possible outcomes.)
