Is it Smart to Buy Valves on eBay?

Posted April 27, 2008 9:10 AM

A recent editorial in Managing Automation magazine addresses product piracy and counterfeit products appearing on eBay. It talks about software, but it raises the question: How good are the valves you buy on eBay? Go to eBay and click on Business & Industrial, search for valves. You'll see hundreds for sale (2,935 when we looked). Prices seem incredibly low. Too low, maybe. What's your experience buying valves on eBay? Are these good deals on quality parts, or are they cheap counterfeit products?
