I wonder if anyone tried this successfully: www.water-4-fuel.com

Cheers

It is true that hydrogen has the potential to become a future fuel for propulsion and other requirements. But, at this moment, unless the Government subsidizes the "high cost" of obtaining, storing and engineering hydrogen into an engine fuel, economics would not work in its favor. But space engineering is using hydrogen and sunlight, successfully, as the economics there is viewed differently

In fact there are many possibilities of releasing hydrogen/ splitting H and O from water. Magnesium and Iron split steam into H + O, and if Magnesium becomes cheaper, this method would be more economical than electrical splitting

Anyway, there are frantic efforts going on in this direction in many labs, and many enterprising scientists and engineers ARE working on this subject. Sooner than later, water may in fact be the liquid in our tanks!

I don't want to place a wet blanket over the petrol but I don't believe it.

If the claim is true the sales strategy is hopeless because anybody with improved performance will boast about it.

Years ago a person drilled a bore hole (bore well) and when the bailer came up it was pure petrol. A brave person filled the tank with it and drove off. The second time around also went well. The third try however were not so lucky and came to a watery stop within meters.

Fortunately the truth was discovered before it reached the press. What happened was that the underground tank at the filling station had a leak and the petrol collected on a solid rock sill.

A few days ago I was forced to swerve into shallow water next to road which resulted in some spray being generated. I can guarantee that the engine did not react favourable to the water. Fortunately I was on a downhill and the engine could manage the few drops of water without drowning. (but it had no power).

Hi Hendrik

Let us not pooh-pooh anything, even if the idea is a bit ridiculous to many. Finally, the veracity would be based on PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION through engineering economics. If this aspect is cleared, we accept the system. Otherwise it automatically gets rejected. may be some "quacks" would make a fast buck here and there!

maybe I should have added that I believe some viable alternative (including water) may be discovered in the future but I don't see it now.

I did not read the link thoroughly and stopped when I saw the 100% money back claim.

"I wonder if anyone tried this successfully: www.water-4-fuel.com"

This scam has been kicked around before on CR4. "Browns Gas," "Joe Cells" "John Kansias and his radio wave generation of "burning water.""

No matter how you separated water into Hydrogen & Oxygen it takes a specific amount of energy to do so and you can't get more back that you put in to start with.

Or spend $97USD for two books that contain mostly what you can find on the intenet by looking at all the so called "FREE Energy Sites."

You'd have a gang of black Suburbans come to your lab and take everything you learned away from you. It has already happened twice.

Go for it!

Did you know that New York Times in 70's came out with headline car Engine to run on Water. Then in 2000/2001 the same New York Times came out with the same headlines stating that after 32 years it is posting the same headline because the engine was stolen moments before unveiling. Maybe the arab sheiks or the texan oil tycoons wanted 32 years of uninterrupted sale of oil.Maybe it has been stolen again because I've not heard since 2000.

It's paranoia when you think they are watching. It's a bit more comforting when you know they are.

Re: Water water everywhere...

There is a very large amount of gaseous hydrogen required to run an automobile at any reasonable speed.

This means that the amount of Hydrogen generated by electrolysis, using energy taken from the car battery, will never be enough to run that automobile at any useful speeds.

As already mentioned above, and stated by the Law of Conservation of Energy, you cannot get out more than has been put in.

The information at www.water-4-fuel.com is misleading, to say the least.

I have no intention of parting with for those books.

As an aside, Pastor Sheldon's book as advertised on that website is quite accurate.....

Re: Water water everywhere...

I personally believe that our water is polluted enough. Why should we mess with it at such a large scale to fuel our vehicles. I would imagine that it would not return to normal, and if it did, it still may have that little something extra in it either from our tampering - or from being around other petroleum products such as grease and oil.

What happens to the air with this change? Will we have other "side effects" not yet forseen?

Solar power seems to be the way to go, it's available. Just expensive to buy the equipment that will collect and store the energy.

I heard that one acre of land full of mirrors and some sort of solar collection grid, could power an entire city. Let's build those and electric prices would go down. Charge up your batteries and go.

Other modes of transportation may still need to use petroleum, such as planes, ships, etc. This would dramatically change what we're experiencing now by using petroleum fuels.

* Some cities here on the east coast (US), have already stated for the city dwellers not to drink the water due to chemical pollution.

Those books are a money-jumping-from-your-pocket invention.

Maybe someone will tell them that in a not very distant future, the price of (processed) water will be higher than the price of any fossil fuel. We'll also fight real wars between neighboring countries for fresh water reserves. There is already a not-declared war between Canada and the US for who's draining more water from the Great Lakes...

Same in the Middle East. But I was referring firstly to tap water.

I confess I did a google search for Magnetic Island. Everything is magnetic interests me... Nice place to be! Any summer job for me there?

To avoid any confusion it is located off the east coast of Australia and is called Queensland. For us on the Island the whole of Australia is western Australia. The large Island on the left. (depending were we stand, naturally).

You could join Hottech. Have I got jobs for you.. Ky

PS: I know I should be working on BP. All in it's own time. I'm on the case.

Hottech.

Summer started a few days ago. We haven't had a Cyclone in 7 years now and the heat is building up day by day. The last one in 2006 hit Innisfail (200 clicks up north)and made a huge mess of things.

We need water powered chainsaws in case it happens again here. If you have one, and we are hit, you got a job. Don't bring your compas it'll go haywire. The gas is needed for the mini mokes that are a big part of the island. Or if you can repair these little monsters you'll have a job for life. People/tourist use them as FWD's and they take a beating every time. We have one that is modified as a tipper believe it or not.

Personally I would have many jobs for you (personal assistant, financial adviser, patent adviser, legal adviser, cad programming adviser, injection moulding supervisor, data collector, field assistant, and some more. The problem is that you will have to run on water only. Money is as scarce as hen's teeth. You can't get more out of a system than you put in, but we could always give it a try.

Ah, you could help me set up my old H/2 extraction system and combine it with a diesel or steam engine. This will only take a few years and again no pay what so ever.

If you ever come here just go down the pub and ask for the crazed Kraut Ky. They will ask a few questions but will let you through in the end.

What I missed in the middle east was that there is no sky during the day and no stars at night. This was back in 1996 and it didn't look like it was going to change quickly. Is it still so?

Hope to see you and your platinum master card soon. All the best. Ky

Ky: thanks for your nice description of your fascinating place. You say a magnetic compass is not working there (since the name)? So I'll make a fortune if I'll sell GPS?

What's your currency if money won't do?

I just dream to have a summer holiday. For now, I am shoveling the snow and try to stay warm at -25C!

Well, the story goes that Captain Cook's compass failed while sailing around the Island. He named it accordingly.

The currency is greed like every where else. The developers (speculators might be a better word) moved in 6 years ago.

If you pay for fish and chips the Australian Dollar comes in handy. Many small jobs are still payed in the slab (Carton of beer) currency.

Your welcome to stay even with out the card. Just say you lost it at the airport. We'll believe you for a while. Trusting will take a bit longer around here.

We don't need GPS because we can see Australia from most view points. And thats west. Sort off. Have a great day. Ky.
