Guruship

12/27/2007 12:43 AM

Fellows I've just been granted "Guru" ship (500 +) . I am happy and honoured but at the same time I feel it is unjustfied when I rank as Guru with the rest:

Kris - 4432 + : Del the Cat - 3355 + : Vermin - 3300 + : Andy Germany - 2910 +

PWSlack - 2690 + : Aurizon - 1920 + : C Rummel3 - 1538 + : Electroman - 1465 +

and lots of lots of other CR4 friends.

Comparatively I am no where.

Guru is a Hindi word for Teacher

CR4 ratings according to me should be:

+ 500 = Guru

+ 1000 = Bara (Big) Guru

+ 2000 = Maha (Huge) Guru

+ 3000 = Uttam (Ultimate) Guru *

+ 4000 = Supertum (Super) Guru *

+ 5000 = Guru Guru *

+ 10000 & > = Guruji

* Perhaps some friend from India with good grip on the hindi language can correct with the right hindi word.

"...aim to thoroughly test the CR4 server..." - because past threads were much, much longer

Yeah, but none went off topic that far.

We should perhaps ask CR4 to deduct the numbers of answers that got an "off topic" rating from your total.

I will not ask to deduct them double: it would bring some of you in the negative zone.

When do we start a new "free energy" section?

Gwen, you must be right on the spot tracking the fun part of CR4:

1. Long, very long free-energy threads

2. As hard as it may sound, even these "as-is", were mostly off-topic - I guess it's because normal people cannot stay serious for too long having these issues to discuss - I mean - What exactly is "Off-Topic" to a discussion on free-energy?

3. Who cares? Today's web-sites are measured by volume, not necessarily by content - It's the new "Google-Culture" hype

4. Look at the younger generation, for them, one version is as good as the other, as they believe none of it anyway - so the more versions of anything at all, the merrier !

5. I'm off to take a hot bath now, just to take my mind of it all.

6. Oh-yeah! with an ice-cold grapefruit juice, to cool my temper first

Yes Yuval,

Let us look forward "Quality not Quantity".

Most would agree, as this is laid up as a place for scientific and technical discussion, but, see, there are these "Trolls" hovering around looking at CR4 as a place to justify their already-spent money on some free-energy machines.

Most of these I guess, are science enthusiasts, who somewhat lack the sound foundations of rational and empirical thought, who met this fantastic development offer, for anything from anti-gravity platforms to other machines which require no energy to do their work - If they would only invest their bit, to a fruitful conclusion...

A few days later, they fear they were taken advantage of, SO . . .

So, they bring it here, (that is after they invested their money in the contraption), to see what would real engineers might think of the idea.

Of course, endless discussions with these weirdos emerge, trying to explain and imply the second thermodynamic law, and it's in the implication bit, that they seem to be the hardest for them to grasp. Hence the longest of threads on CR4.

But also the funniest

P.S: On that note, Gwen's suggestion to open a "Free-Energy" Section, is not as wacky as it may sound. Even the most severe of places, needs some recreational outlet

Wasn't it Mao Tse Tung who said that quantity has an inherent quality of its' own? Or something to that effect. Which means the "Breaking the Bath" thread is of the highest quality, simply due to the sheer quantity of posts (some 1200+ last I looked...). Not that some of those posts are anything but the sheerest of drivel, mind you, but then they can't ALL be gems, right?

"...this fantastic development offer, for anything from anti-gravity platforms to other machines..."

Such as my own under-development item, 5,000 miles on a pint of snake oil, exhaust is pure oxygen, possibly has anti-gravity properties, investments welcome! Contact me for the numbered Swiss bank account in which to make the deposit - see, I'm so doggone honest, I don't even handle the money directly. If THAT doesn't promote trust, what would?!?

Maybe other factors such as number of views at your posts, or the number of replies you had, are in play here, who knows ?

Do you need a "good" answer to become a guru?
