Not as far as known.

We have to accept that life is rather fragile.

Maybe CR4 should make a rule that one must appoint somebody in your will to inform CR4.

I can see it - Hendrik just passed away of Piggy Bank Flu. His last word were "those dammed American bankers"

There's no truth in the rumour that Sparkstation isn't able to get out of Zimbabwe, then?

Yes, I tried to email him a few months ago. The message didn't bounce back, but it remains unanswered.

If I do hear from him (and if it's OK with Sparkstation), I'll gladly provide an update about this long-lost member of our community.

I've also noticed that Bricktop has not been around since the 5th of last month when he posted his long week end? any news on him? I see that hunting is his past time.

WAS: What has happened to Sparkstation? NOW: Reaching out

08/05/2009 6:09 AM

maybe it's a good idea for the system (so much better if it came from Admin), sent out something like an "how-are-you?" eMail to members who fail to post anything (PMs included) after, say, 2 months, just to check if they're OK.

CR4 has become a community by itself, and little gestures like that, IMO, would be appreciated by members who may be just too busy, or, have felt that CR4 is no longer a place for them.

thoughts, anyone?

Hi, langylaw!

I'm in agreement with you on this. But I'm not sure the software would issue an alert all by itself.

If the moderators are asked, and can't find an answer in the website (such as a change of handle) that might reassure the 'community', it definitely can't hurt anybody if they send a discrete inquiry.
