What Type of Leader are You?

Some say leaders are born, not made, but research says differently. Critical characteristics for good leaders are the ability to energize without micromanaging people, defining goals, and communicating effectively — through both word and deed. Additional leadership characteristics include honesty, energy, and creating clear goals for your team. Critical character traits are definable, or are they? What makes a good leader? What type of a leader are you?

SIMPLE

Lead by example and do what is right, not what's convenient or popular.

A good leader will piss off one side or the other or both at times.

Rate yourself as a leader, what a arrogant A$$ you are.

I had a secretary who believed without a doubt that she was a leader. How,

because she and her husband watched and taped every episode of Donald Trumps "Apprentice".

There are different levels of leadership, you cannot self proclaim your self as a leader,

I take more value when someone else calls you a leader, than when you have to blow your own horn and declare you are one.

Leading is the skill of attracting followers and keeping them. Some learn it easy others never do.

It has been done many ways from brute force to charismatic seduction.

A good Leader knows when to micromanage and when to turn loose. Many aspects of leadership are not the same for each follower. You don't communicate to the President the same way you talk to a grade schooler. To say it is done only this way is a fallacy.

Great leaders create more great leaders in ever larger circles of wealth (not just money)

To try to quantify what a multitude of writings are still trying to do after over 2,000 years is a feat in it self.

You are only a 'Leader' if people will follow you. In order for them to follow you, you must be in motion.

If neither of the above apply, then you are a B.O.S.S.
