Electronic Marshaling: A Way Forward?

Posted March 29, 2011 11:56 AM

An article in ControlGlobal.com discusses the relatively new concept of "electronic marshaling." It's one way to avoid the rat's nest of wiring created by traditional marshaling. Proponents of electronic marshaling say when you need to add only a couple of sensing points, you simply insert a personality module (one module per sensor). What do you think of the concept? Are you using it in your organization? What drawbacks do you see?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Data Acquisition, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Data Acquisition today.

Hmm, I am thinking that there is a new breed of Nomenclatureologists that just love to make up passengenic terms for old stuff so that they can entroforce a new set of sumphorphic processes on the pseudo-ignabors so they can sound really hip at those company parties.
