I agree, and I think it might be for the Apollo Command Module control panel.

I'd say yes a mockup, and yes NASA, but the Mercury panel (see the curved edge at top indicated small diameter).

It looks like one of Grumman's developmental circuit breaker diagrams/panel boards for the Apollo Command Module....for checking the ergonomics?

Many men don't know their way round their OWN body......and map reading is also difficult for some!!!

Answer: It is a replica of the Apollo space capsule at the Museum of Science in Boston, MA.

I have a suspicion that the remark refers to the replica Mercury capsule on display at the museum.

Either way, the What Is It? image is of an Apollo console.

These are sort of fun. I'm glad CR4 decided to run with this.
