Re: Caption This for 01/28/13

01/28/2013 9:00 PM

I went to some garage sales with my wife the other week. Every time she bought some cr4p I knew she will never use I bought one item of my own that she didnt like and thought I would never use.

Long story short after a full day I ended up with an old shopping cart, a bike with no front wheel, and a portable welder.

Do I need to explain the rest?

Pushing his brand-new REI Mountain Trolley Supersport to its limits, Dillon 'Dill' Pickle slams it into 5WD and descends upon a small mom & pop grocery at the edge of town. In order to qualify for the event, Pickle must buy a quart of milk, two dozen eggs, four 12-packs, drink the beer and pay for it all by stolen credit card whilst pedalling through the store at top speed. Unfortunately for Pickle, the county's First Annual Iron Man Shop-a-Thon was held last week where the winner, Billy-Bob McCoy, driving a stretched, blown, nitro-injected 427 Hemi-powered AA trolley fueler will go on to represent the United States at the First Annual Tour de Bistro in Le Mans, France. Pickle, meanwhile, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter. He is being held in the county jail pending investigation. Seems Pops was restocking the shelves following last week's event when Pickle breezed through at 43.71 MPH. Pickle was pulled over a few minutes later by the county sheriff just as he approached the event's second hurdle, a large Safeway store on the other side of town. Pops was still wedged in the trolley when the sheriff found him. According to the sheriff Pops said 'Man alive! That was one hellava ride thar, Pickle! Kin we do that agin afore the ol' lady notices I'm gone?!'", then keeled over, dead. Memorial services will be held Saturday following the NASCAR race. :)

If it was a European Supermarket trolley, he would just go straight on at the next corner!!!!!

So I guess its an American one with only the front wheels pivoting....that would allow steering....

No front brakes on that bike and usually the front, with assistance from the rear brake, helps stop you faster and safer than any single brake alone......I once nearly killed a friend of mine who only used the front brake on a downhill road and landed directly in front of my car....He was actually under the front of the car about an inch from the front wheels......dry road and my last car before ABS.

I reckon i know where he's headed. On second thoughts, it's a shopping trolley, no-one knows where he's headed.

Not a funny response, but really, can you imagine how the thing must corner? 1/8 mile turning radius??? Try that beasty out on our tar and chip roads around here.

Really - where is the 6 inch travel front shock?
