You can't have too many tools when you own a Ford! (Sooner or later, you'll need every last one.)

Or "Fill Oil Reservoir Daily."

Or "Failed On Race Day."

Or "Future Operation Requires Dementia."

Ford LTD = Found On Road Dead, Left There Dead.

LTD by itself = Look Twice, Dummy!

Guess how I feel about Fords.

Over the years, I've felt the same about Fords. I've only owned one in my lifetime (the other one doesn't count as that was my wife's choice. Ex-wife, I should say)

Lately, though, I've been wondering. Why is Ford the only one who didn't take any bailout money.

Good on Ford as they were a few years ahead of the rest by cutting back on the amount of models they had (such as Mercury) and I believe they do well in Europe.

Sorry getting way off topic.

With recent the downturn in the American automotive market, Ford are sponsoring a new movie remake of the Wizard of oz to lift sales. Inside sources say the tools shown are actually a metaphor that represents the state of the American automotive industry today, with the 'Wicked Wizard of the West' under the car as the average American automotive factory worker.

Upon hearing that Ford refused bailout money, the administration's only comment was "Then I'll stack that company with govt. FOOLS anyway, like GM". The rest, as they say, is history.

No, not that 1/2" wrench the other one beside the 1/2" wrench next to the 1/2" wench under the plunger!

I know I set that 1/2" wench somewhere!

Ted's effort to transform his Ford into a stamping machine, to produce end wrenches, had been somewhat successful. Now the addition of a rubber sealed evacuation system would make finished product take away less random.

Kinda like the Rolls Kenardly - Rolls down one hill and ken hardly make it up the next.

I forgot about the Flippin' Old Rebuilt Dodge. And there might be some truth to that. I caught part of a public TV program about the history of Ford, and it mentioned two of his original partners were the Dodge brothers. Their job was parts.

Little known fact: the spin-on oil filters for older Chrysler and Ford products used the same mounting. The only difference was the length of the filter. The catalogs would show the most common part number for Mopars used for the Ford compacts, and the bigger Dodge trucks called for the most common filter for Fords.
