Got the outriggers set, the teasers and lures are in the water, the motor is at trolling speed, let's see if we get any hits.

Someone might try try trolling the other coast to see if parlez vous canadienne , is receptive. Maybe if Jesus tells him he should talk to judo boy.

If you could travel through time, which would you wear, boxers or briefs?

12/13/2009 1:55 AM

I was doing a dead thread check on the Time Tunnel thread, and I'm not getting any response, I guess everyone unsubscribed , or is sleeping, .

Is it just me , or are others experiencing disorientation from jumping thread to thread , the themes seem to gravitating towards each other , some kind of evolving , or coalescing, the middle of the bell curve seems to be the BBt, similar to the experiment the boys over in bioengineering are conducting, splicing genes from Donald Trumps comb over with a badger taco, ,,,,, I got nothing , I'm tired , I've been avoiding work all day , it's exhausting, I f I don't hear any thing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm spent

Mi Dios, Yo Soy Mal Cabrone!

12/13/2009 1:09 PM

One of my fave muses suggested that I and mi esposa should go outside and get some fresh air. Well, ak chully we were outside this morning, but it was too freakin' hot. We were planting impatiens and setting up the outdoor Christmas tree. It's almost too hot for the mater plants, they're getting on the backside of the transpiration curve and are looking a mite wilted.

I was going tp ask how the rest of you are coping with this heat wave? Any tips?

Not You BobC

I've tried puttinc bags of frozen baby lima beans in my speedo but it causes unsightly bulges.

I wish it would cool off enough so we could turn the A/C down from Max cool. SIGH.

God , I am a Bastard.

God , I am a Bastard.

and that doesn't even begin to cover it. May unsightly galls form in your impatiens, vincas, bougainvillas, Buddhas, and speedos, a snakehead fish take up residence in your loo, and snowbirds and Texans take up residence next door.

HHO HHO HHO

(hey, that was good)

(was it good for you, too?)

" Og put limb in hole in round stone , all want to trade seashells for Magic stone round with stick, High shaman say no such thing as free po' boy, then Og vanish , I THINK IT WAS EXXON THAT KILLED OG,

F*****g Hall Monitors, Just Kidding I love big Brother

Funny how WWL just relentlessly keeps going, we f*** with him one minute , then were nice, now he wants to go on a date with Gilly to the Wal-mart gas station, One, one gallon approved container , two straws.

Tell me about the local/regional chain idea, how would that be arranged? Some kind of national template with local content?

Yes,

national template, local content

as the cost of energy & transportation continue to increase, manufacturing will migrate back to a more regional model. The various regions will trade amongst themselves...

Well,

It's really quiet here

To those that are temporily out of circulation we haven't forgotten you.

A big shout-out to Sue, how do you do ?

Trying to think of something to do to stir up some excitement, I got the ball rolling with the matchmaking on the WWL side, someone else needs to work Ghilie (Gil), he doesn't think that I have a respectful or serious enough attitude, maybe someone can steer him to WWL's site.

Earlier I went over to the Crawl space women's detention facility to do some routine maintenance, make sure the two way mirror in the shower in Cell block "C" was clean on the back side , couldn't see who was using the shower, too much steam, good thing we have geo-thermal heated water or the energy costs would be enormous.

Man I'm bored

I'm going to check the other channels.

Just finished reading , designing a new guberment thread. Didn't agree with some of the ideas , but it seeeemed that comments were well written and had some thought behind them. Very much enjoyed the civil and polite tone of all that participated, and Garthh did a great job moderating.

Harriet , will you marry me?, I Know, I know , I'm already married and you like manly men ....

My Choice For the role of Garthh: Woody Harrelson

I'll probably hit the Spam Armco here shortly.

I think we should go public from the PM to a thread, OTP, BBT?

Someone more computer literate could post an edited listing in OTP, or BBt VARITY announcing a casting call.

I'm fading , might nod off Carry on if I crash

Whiskey rebellion Post

12/23/2009 7:45 PM

It's the holidays , so quite a few will be enjoying refreshing beverages, It started me to wondering about beverages associated with nations or peoples.

Scotland has of course Scotch, and there's Canadian whiskey, American Bourbon, Mexican tequila, Russian vodka, Japanese Saki and I think the Irish made some kind of "whiskey" out of potatoes.

Do the English have a liquor associated with them , besides mead?

Also the Welsh, is there an an alcoholic drink associated with them , like something distilled from leeks? I'm not that familiar with Welsh culture, wasn't sure if they imbibe at all or are they a land of abstainers?

I'm jes' wunderin'.

That is a very good question, I don't know what they drink in Wales that makes them speak so strange. Most of the UK has some sort of regional excuse, but not (as far as I can think yet) the Welsh. Hops are a Kentish thing (although we did borrow that one, I think from the Romans), but I can't think of a single thing that is especially 'Welsh'. It's deeply disturbing to think that they may not have a national tipple.

United States Department of Agriculture Approved Animal Husbandry Advice Post

('get them on the edge of a cliff and they push back harder')

Kris I can see how that method would work, but it seems archaic and dangerous for the operator, I've attended a lot of OSHA industrial safety training sessions.

My recommendation is the method whereas you place the sheep's hind legs inside your Wellies alongside your feet.

When purchasing your footwear , ask Mr. Humphries for the " double occupancy" size, those are kept in the back and are offered to select customers only.

Your American cuzin.

No no no. Cider comes from the other side of the Bristol Channel. It's a Devon and Somerset thing.

Once the Welsh turned "Chapel", most of the drinking stopped.

The powers that be ; Big Oil, Power Company Monopolies, Big Government, Democrats, Transnational Airport Worlders, pointy headed Eastern Intellectuals, carpetbaggers, anybody not from Texas, Methodists; all of them have tried to suppress the truth.

After extensive and comprehensive research conducted( Reader's Digest Article" I am Joe's Kitchen Table Top Cold Fusion Reactor", Time-Life Series" How a steel Wedge works", Popular Physics" How to silver solder a shiv", in the prison library, I have proven time and time again to my cellmates Butch, Spike, Robin, that all the scientists, and engineers have gotten Newton's third leg

Law , Wrong.

Newton's law clearly states for those suffiecintly unscroffulous enough to wrap their minds around it ( unlike those physicist embiciles), "for every action their's a octopus and legal lactation", duh.

I have had my research reviewed by a Phd at the local junior college and rodeo clown vocational training school and he has agreed with my conclusions, that I am 1,001% smarter than all the other so called experts , including Stphen freakin' Hawkins, put togethor and multipled by π. I think that this is so obvious and speak for itself.

Yep - but only the male, who has "spurs" (claws) on his hind feet/webbed/flippers, used for 'defense' of territory and his mate.

Like all such critters - nothing to worry about unless they think your attacking them (or in the way of mating - like snakes often think in said season)

Handling rules for above - about the same as wild Koala v.s. 'tourist Koala'.

They're female, since they're not being held aloft by their tails so that the handlers can avoid the venomous claw thingie of the male.

I would think they're not big enough to be of the southern variety, so am guessing their locales could be:

in NSW, in Bourke on the Darling River, postal code 2840; or in Wagga Wagga on the Murrumbidgee River, postal code 2650

in QLD, they could be in Charleville on the Warrego River, postal code 4470; or in Longreach on the Thomson River, postal code 4730

And their names are Lucretia and Anastasia.

phew

Not quite half-baked idea Post

Have the germ of an idea for utilizing certain waste products for fertilizer / soil amendment. Not new , wouldn't require inventing anything, would use mature technologies.

Off TRopic Post

01/07/2010 2:38 PM

I was trying to be serious, harrumph.

Okay, I don't know how to write anything serious other than contrite letters to my probation officer so don't be critical of the format.

So you have things to get rid of; disposable diapers and kitty litter.

And you have something that needs fixin'; depleted and eroded soils.

The moisture absorbing gel inside disposable diapers looks a lot like the product I purchased to enhance the moisture holding ability of garden soil.

Kitty litter can be clay or bio-degradable materials.

I think you could take the kitty litter and the moisture holding gel and combine them to use as a soil amendment. Get a rocket surgeon to figure out the proper proportions and how much locally available soil would need to be added to the mix on site.

The animal and baby alimentary by- products in the mix would add nutrients and trace elements to the mix.

Get rid of the pathogens in the baby doo-doo and the cat turds , by running the mix through a facility similar to a food irradiation tunnel; set on kill, not stun.

Dedicated facility to avoid food processors from bitchin', don't worry about Taco Bell, they probably couldn't distinguish/care if they received wrong shipment.

Load the soil amendment in bulk carrying ships. One potential area for end use would be Haiti, where years of mountainside over forestation for cooking fuels has created a monumental erosion problem, which, in a cascade effect has created more problems, flooding, inadequate potable water, possibly exacerbating the malnutrition and disease problem, E&t'C:;c&era

If the public relations problem could be overcome, regarding , what might be perceived as shipping a problem to a developing nation, would this be potentially economically viable?

Pac

ps. For those inquiring, I gotchyer SchnitzengrÜeben, right here.

the absorbent stuff inside disposable diapers is sodium polyacrylate

    --CH2--CH(CO2Na)--
Maybe someone who knows some chemistry (certainly not moi) could discuss the implications of amending soil with this.
