I've been wondering: what would it take for the minivan
to make a comeback, to be a vehicle that would actually be at least
somewhat appealing to the enthusiast?
If there was one thing that could
make the minivan cool at this point (besides, say, customizing them),
I'd say it'd be decreased bulk (and corresponding increased
power-to-weight ratio): a return of the "mini" to minivan, and a
resurrection of the compact-but-interiorly-spacious people hauler that
was the original concept for the cubes that exploded into their
own marketing segment back in the 80s. Just with more power.
