Alex demonstrates the "Buttered Cat" Theory after being awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery.

Alex said it came to him one morning when he dropped his toast. "First, I realized that toast always falls on the floor buttered side down. That got me to thinking, what would happen if I buttered the back of my cat. As you are well aware, cats always land on their feet.

"Sure enough, when I dropped the buttered cat it fell to 12" above the floor and then began to perpetually spin."
