The recent new series, which was a flop anyway, has been cancelled after posting this "lifehack" as an adapter for an unmatching receptacle plug....legal action is pending...

In this image. Kulas attempts to plug his copper to gold converter into a wall outlet. Noticing that the plug does not fit into the outlet, he uses his ∞ creativity to devise a handy adapter.

Sorry to say, we will all really miss his profound posts here on CR4

That's a 40 amp circuit. Finger nail clippers are only rated at 30 amps. I guess it's OK, the 120 v appliance the cord is attached to probably won't be drawing that much from the 240 volt socket after a second or two.

But! This is one of the many innovations incorporated into the LynDoor™ Industries WATTSUCKER G6.

It's the transparent aluminum® ground lug/toothpick, to round out the multi purpose personal hygiene kit.

Seems that way, but maybe he's some good-hearted person that is trying to understand science, and is naive to how forum communication is done; determined to understand and undeterred despite lashback from some of our community, I admire his (courage/naevete) to keep asking questions.

And even that detail strays too close to NSFW territory for my tastes on this forum.

I take great personal offense at that remark.

A good mechanical eng. would take it all apart, remove the wires from the back of the receptacle and stick the wires in those little holes in the blades of the plug.

Hmm, interesting. You would think that the dimples in the outlet contacts would cause problems with inductive loads when the plug is used to disconnect a motor under load, whereby contact area is suddenly reduced due to the cam action.....or not.

Arch Chute

A friend asked me to take a look at his dryer. I checked it out and noticed intermittent operation. I checked the screw-in fuse and even removed it to find a scorched penny behind it. When I remarked about it he said "My Dad checked it out and said it was OK, and he is the city electrical inspector".
