Something very similar happened to me while delivering a Backhoe.

I hadn't watched the weather for the area, no one was there to drive it off my trailer, and 8" of rain on a NICE golf course lawn lead to a moment where I can imagine how this guy feels. It wasn't this severe, thankfully.

Fortunately, I could still dig myself out. The lawn didn't fair well.
